The Highlands RWMG has established benchmarks for disposal actions in the region. The project has determined the factors influencing littering and has addressed local suggestions for improving disposal behaviour in public sites. Fifty sites were assessed across the region.

Sites were assessed based on their context, facilities and community perceptions and attitudes.
